Ambassadors
The School Ambassadors are elected each year to represent both their class and the whole school. An election takes place early in the Autumn Term. Anybody who wishes to be considered for the role writes a manifesto which they then deliver to their class. Following this all children vote for the boy and girl they feel will best represent their class, taking into consideration such things as reliability, willingness to take on responsibilities which may involve: leading lunchtime play, welcoming new children, deciding which charities the school is going to support throughout the year, organising fund raising events, acting as role models to other children, etc. The election is run in such a way as to mirror council/general elections. Children have ballot papers, make their choice privately and then post in a ballot box. Boy and girl Representatives and Deputy Representatives are elected from each class from Year 3 to Year 6. All the Ambassadors take part in at least two training sessions to go through their roles and responsibilities. Regular meetings then take place facilitated by the Learning Mentor
